I believe that the first drop of rain falls on me.
I believe that I can talk to people, to trees, to animals, to the food I eat, to the air I breathe, to the water that hugs my throat and to anything that appears lifeless. Most importantly, I believe I can talk to myself.
I believe that I am related to everybody I have met, am meeting and will be meeting. We will touch each other’s lives and make them more beautiful than the previous moment we lived.
I believe that I have something in me that nobody else has in this whole world. There is somewhere a gap, which can only be filled by me. I am uniquely fit to be in that space. Even somebody who boasts of being perfect is no replacement for me.
I believe that I am complete. Yes, many entities will add to my being as I will to theirs. However, I am conscious of the fact that my self is determined enough to achieve everything I want and strong enough to survive without it. I am self sufficient to fulfil every dream I see.
I believe that there is a mother in me and a father too. I can be a brother and a sister as well. I am sure about being a son and feel like a daughter too. I would make a caring wife and a supportive husband. I believe that I can give birth to a new life and nourish it to grow into one which is as unique as me. I believe I am life and I breed life.
I believe I have lived this moment before. Since I lived it the way it deserves to be, I have got another opportunity to do so. I may be in trouble but I must have fought it out successfully sometime, for nobody else got to be in this situation again. I must have enlivened every moment with passion, as I was gifted another set to make alive.
I believe that I am special. I believe that my life as a human is a blessing. This life has a meaning. I may face situations that might be strange, but I have the power to find the way that will lead me towards victory. I may meet hurdles that seem unsurpassable, but I have the knowledge that I have created that hurdle. There is no limit to what I can do if I believe in it. I am made of five elements – air, water, earth, fire and my belief.
A simply marvelous post… Congratulations, you have started writing almost as well as I do… However, I hope you’re not talking too loudly to inanimate objects or else the “men in the white coats” will have to come to get you.
Okay enough kidding… the post is extremely good.
I particularly liked the thought that all of us fit into a unique space that has been created only for us… no one else can fill that. I also loved the part about being self sufficient to achieve your dreams. This post is inspirational.
There is one part, however, that I am not comfortable with… maybe I dont agree or maybe I dont understand clearly what you are trying to say. You have written that “I may be in trouble but I must have fought it out successfully sometime, for nobody else got to be in this situation again.” Do you mean we keep coming back to the same situations over many lifetimes and struggle with the same issues, emotions, etc? That doesnt sound very purposeful. What sounds more probable to me is that we face different situations over many lifetimes… to acquire new learning rather than reliving the same things.
You understood it right. That’s what I believe. I do not know whether this belief has any association with the concept of Karma. However, I see this life as a prize I got for an achievement in some other time and space.
But the perspective that you came up with is quite interesting. I have read about how souls grow more learned with every life. Does my belief negate that theory? Do same situations imply same lessons? I do not know. Maybe the way in which I tackle them has something to learn from, for others.
I see what you mean. Yes, it’s possible to learn different things from the same situations. And yes, maybe as we learn more, we come back to teach others. Thanks for your response, Ankit.
I believe i am very special. Though, i might not really turn heads in a crowd. Though, i might not stand out in a conversation. And even though people tend to overlook what i say and do, I know i am very special. At the risk of sounding vain, I believe i am in certain ways special than most people i have have ever come across.
Your post is truly splendid. it made me reflect on, and appreciate myself. Great going!
Great to hear that Vidya. When I said that I believe I am special, I actually felt that all of us are, just that we need to be conscious of it and enjoy it.
Takes a lot of learning to know how special we are….the next level is to appreciate that so is everyone else!
Nice words – keep writing!
